One of the keys to my success was intuition; now I am sharing it with you.
Because I was so busy marketing for everyone else, I never marketed myself. My freelance and consulting grew naturally from referrals following the success of my first e-commerce site.
Many of my clients worked with me consistently for 5-15 years.
With this longevity, I have experienced and overcome difficult challenges time and time again.
While it was a secret for many years, in 2006, I started noticing patterns in my intuition within my own business. In 2014, I found out I could also provide readings for others.
I learned difficult lessons many times as I argued against my intuition. I worked on projects and accepted partnerships because they looked great on paper, only to find out my intuition was right. The most challenging part of intuition is learning to trust it, even when it doesn’t make sense.
Other times, I trusted my intuition, turning down “great” offers, to find out months later that my intuition was right again. For example, declining a lucrative marketing campaign months before new industry regulations made their product obsolete.
Intuition does not replace logic, but it does add to it, and is a valuable part of any strategy.
The 80/20 rule…
This was my vicious cycle:
When my projects performed well from planning with intuition (taking less than 20% of my time), this always created more growth which meant more back-end technical work (spending more than 80% of my time). As I would eventually have too much technical work, projects would start to get stagnant, and eventually and I would need to revisit strategy and intuition again. This back and forth continued for most of my career.
Now, I focus almost entirely on the best 20% of my skill set which you can find right here on this page.
